Current Everyday Make-up!
Good Evening my lovelies!
I thought I would update my everyday make-up as it was ages ago that I posted one of these and my make-up routine has changed a lot! My current moisturiser is Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for dry/sensitive skin. As I have mentioned on here before I suffer with dry skin and find it difficult to find a good moisturiser. When I won a Birchbox instagram competition a couple of weeks ago this was one of the products that I bought. I love the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish as it is one of the few cleansers that doesn't irritate my skin so I thought I would try the moisturiser. After using this for a couple of weeks I love it, I use it day and night and my skin feels so much more hydrated!
After moisturising I use foundation and concealer. I would usually do my concealer last but as I only use light eyeshadows for this look there is no fall down so no need to touch up afterwards. I use my Real Techniques buffing brush to apply both my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (No51 - Light Vanilla) and my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Fair No1), buffing the product right into your skin using this brush creates a flawless look. This foundation feels really light on your skin but you can get a medium coverage with it. It leaves you with a glowy/dewy finish which I personally prefer than a matte coverage. It says it lasts for up to 16hours I'd say it lasts around 7-8 hours on my skin before I need to touch it up. This foundation has been great on my dry skin as I find it really hydrating and I love the fresh fruity scent!
I would then use my E.L.F eyebrow kit (light) using a small angled brush. On my eyes I use my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette I use the colour Strange all over my lid and as a highlighter under my brow. I then take the colour Limit into my crease and blend. If I want to add more colour I will occasionally take the other matte colour in the palette, Nooner, and work that into my crease also. I then line my upper lash-line with Eyeko Skinny Liner in black adding a slight flick. I finish my eyes by using Maybelline The Falsies Volum'express Mascara on my top and bottom
lashes.
On my cheeks I use my Bourjois Bronzing powder into the hollows of my cheeks, up on my temples and either side of my forehead. I then use Benefit Highbeam on the tops of my cheekbones, down the centre of my nose and above my cupids bow! I hope you enjoyed this update on my current make-up!

xx

Beauty Blender VS precision blending sponge
Hello you Beauties! I have recently been using both the beauty blender and the precision blending sponge so that I could do a review on them both. When the original Beauty blender came out I remember seeing them pop up on every blog, I never purchased one as I thought "Why spend £16.00 on a sponge", but when I received it in my April Birch Box I was so excited to try it and see what the hype was all about! My friend then bought me another version of the blender which is called the Precision blending sponge I think she got it from TKMAXX but the only place I can find them is on Amazon where they are $9.99.
Beauty Blender (BB) Vs Precision Blending Sponge (PBS)
So the first thing I noticed was the BB expanded in water much more than the PBS and the PBS felt a lot more dense than the BB. I personally prefer the shape of the PBS. When using both sponges I use the large bottom area to apply my foundation and the pointed end to apply my concealer.

Overall I definitely thought the Beauty Blender applied my make-up a lot more smoothly and streak free. Although the Precision blending sponge I feel does apply the foundation nicely and is definitely a good alternative if you cannot afford to splash out £16.00 on the beauty blender.
I now understand why there was such a massive hype about the Beauty blender I think it is a genius make-up tool. I alternate between my Real techniques buffing brush and my beauty blender. If I had never of got the beauty blender in my Birchbox I don't think I would have purchased it because of the price and therefore if i didn't get the beauty blender I would have used the precision sponge as it is still a very good alternative. Also If you have tried the cosmopolitan sponge and like me didn't like it, don't let it put you off as although they look the same this precision sponge is much better!

Everyday Make-up / FOTD
Hi Guys! Today I thought I would do a post on my everyday makeup. This look I have pretty much been wearing every day for the last few weeks. I always do this, I get stuck doing the same makeup look for weeks as its easy to get into the routine of grabbing the same make-up everyday. The only thing that does change is lipstick I try to wear a different one everyday.
| I have started using this again recently. I got this in my media makeup kit when I was at college. You can get this on the Crown brush website for just £22.99. you can see the colours I use and they are just the neutrals. |
| This is my current favorite lipstick and its the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107. |
